Ray Chen, the outstanding young violinist, has signed to Decca Classics in a major new recording deal and multimedia partnership which celebrates his exceptional musicianship and unique style.

The critically-acclaimed performer, who’s amassed a huge online following (including more than 2 million fans on SoundCloud) through quirky, self-made videos and engaging social media posts, will be embarking on a new recording series with the legendary classical label, entering the studio later this year.

Thursday, 30 June, the Rio Olympics torch relay continues its journey across Brazilian Parana state. The distance covered, including transits, 170 km and some 140 torchbearers. Foz do Iguaçu is the last town on the Olympic Flame' s route today.

Invited by the Coca-Cola sponsorship, six torchbearers including Lang Lang and actress Jiang Yiyan lit the passion of local people. As No. 75 torchbearer, Lang Lang was welcomed by both warm Brazilians and Chinese. Numerous people accompanied him during his 200-meter torch relay journey.

Juan Diego Flórez, one of today’s most prominent stars of the opera and concert stage has just signed a long-term exclusive contract with Sony Classical.

He has been recognized as one of the best tenors in history by the BBC and has received numerous accolades and awards including Peru’s highest distinction, the Gran Cruz de la Orden del Sol and Austrian’s government title of Kammersänger. 

His first album for Sony Classical will be released in fall 2017.

On account of this special occasion and in recognition of his extraordinary career, key figures in the music, in the sports along with thousands of people come together in this unique event which profits will go to 38 sport schools of Real Madrid’s Foundation in Mexico.

Yu Long the artistic director of the Beijing Music Festival and Columbia Artists Music team up to commemorate "ping-pong diplomacy".

In April 1971, members of a US table tennis team became the first American athletes to visit China before the two countries established diplomatic relations. The sport helped to pave the way for Richard Nixon to come to Beijing in February of the following year. Two months after the US president's visit, Chinese table tennis players were invited to the United States.
